1. The M's won there 1st game under the Jim Rigglemen era. 10-2 and it was exciting. Bedard went out right before the 4th inning. Big Surprise!!! Well it just goes to show you where his priorities are. Anyway hopefully we keep up the wins and end the year with a .500 record under Rigglemen.
2. LSU LOST!!! OH NO!!!! Fresno State is my new pick to win the CWS.
3. NSM again NO ONE cares about Tiger Woods and the Golf world.
4. Kasey Kahne won the poll today. To be honest I stopped watching after Kyle Busch won his 1st race.
5. My picks for the New GM and Manager for the M's are:
Kim Ng- she's a she, it's Seattle people!
Joey Cora - good bench coach, Mariner great, FO likes him

6/19 Thursday
1. The M's fired J-Mac today. No big surprise there. But I want to declare my new position on #51. He's still on the grilling list because I have resolved that he will never be traded but he needs to be more selfish. YES MORE SELFISH!!! He needs to be the Lebron James of the MLB. Here are 3 things that he needs to do tomorow:
1. Call up Mr. Y and tell him exactly what he wants the team to do at the deadline.
2. Tell Riggleman exactly what he wants to be done about the line up
3. Start doing press conferences without a translator right beside him
If Ichiro does that then the should improve within 5 games. Ichiro needs to accept the responsiblity as a star player and favorite of management to make this team not only better but his.
2. NSM you still suck!!! ENOUGH WITH THE TIGER WOODS BS!!!!
3. Politics now people. Barack Obama's wife Michelle was on the View this week. I watched H+C when Matt Hasselback's brother's hot wife was on and she basically admitted that she softballed Obama. I don't think that the wives of candidates should be held up to the same standard as their husbands but still she should've been asked about her comments on her pride in America.
4. The NSM is again stupid!!! They really don't know about Seattle or anything outside the Chicago, NY, Boston, LA and San Fran. The M's are shopping Bedard and should seriously look at Ken Griffey for LF and Coco Crisp for CF that would result in a pretty darn good outfield and the M's would beable to improve there lineup. The M's could also look to get Rick Ankiel from STL. He'd offer good power and he knows a little about turning disasters around.
5. I am a Trekkie for sure and I watched an episode of Voyager last night that was vexing. It was the one about the Q civil war. Now, The rebellious Q the ones that were all about individualism and liberty were wearing Union uniforms. may I say WTF!!! That is counter intuitive because they also used the burning of Atlanta as a metaphor for the war between the Q. Capt. Janeway even went so far as to say that the TNG Q was "on the losing side." Now as most Americans with 2nd grade schooling know that we were losing when Sherman raped and burned Atlanta. Now inorder to have a correct metaphor or allusion the TNG Q should've been in our uniform. But then again that wouldn't have served the writters revisionist history. Just my two cents about Star Trek and the Civil War.

6/18 Wednesday
1. The M's won today!!!! But there still needs to be major changes in the Clubhouse. Ichiro and Bedard need to be traded
and Sexson needs to be DFA. I read an interesting blog post on the Seattle PI's site that basically said that Ichiro has very little trade value to most of the league. The reasoning was that he makes power hitter green ($19 million) while only hitting singles (with that happening less this year than any other). That is an extremely good point. I think that AL pitchers have just figured him out. They know that he dislikes walks and is a sucker for the outside pitch. He has no power threat so they can pitch to him inside or directly over the plate and not have to worry about giving up a HR.
2. The national sports media is a joke. 3 things dominated the headlines today:
1. Willie Randoulph's 12:15 am axing
2. NBA finals (as it should)
3. Stupid ass US Open
the first two things are legitimate news but the 3rd is what makes the NSM a joke. The US Open is the least important sporting event in the last week besides whatever the Europeans have been doing that involves a zebra ball. No one outside of the NSM cares about golf as a "sport." I enjoy golf it's just not a sport, it's a game like tennis or bowling. The more that ESPN and the like cover golf the more I dislike and ignore them.
3. The LSU Tigers are my pick to win the CWS. I love the CWS my family lives in Omaha and I used to go all the time, I'll go next year hopefully. Just thought I'd throw that in there
4. My picks for the MLB post-season:
5. I have been called a racist recently because of my distaste for #51. But it is not racism that fuels my hatred it is lack of leadership. The people who pull the race card when it comes to this issue are just plain immature. They can't handle someone challenging their notions that he is the face of Seattle baseball and the future of the club. But these notions need to be shattered. Ichiro is not the future he is the past, he offers no leadership and more attitude than TO (TO still plays hard when he's sounding off). If you are going to pull the race card then pull it on Robert Byrd or Bill Clinton not people who want to replace a guy from Japan for a guy named Griffey. C'mon people!

6/17 Tuesday
This is my first post of many. This blog will be a cross between a political blog and a sports blog. The 1st thing on the Berger House menu is the US Open. The truth is no one cares. It is a bunch of guys walking around a smacking a ball for a few hours. Whoopie! Soccer (which should be Illegal in the US) is more important. Between The NBA Finals and the Open you would assume that nothing else is going on.
But, second on the menu, there is a ton of other more important stuff going on. The M's fired Big Bill yesterday. A good move. I believe that the next few weeks are important to the Mariners. The line up by position should be this:
C - Clement
1B - Kenji
2B - Lopez
3B - Beltre
SS - Yuni (but IDK if he's the long term solution)
RF - Griffey Jr.
CF - Reed
LF - Willie the B
DH - Raul
Pitching is another story
1- The King
2-Silva
3-The Aussy
4. Morrow
5. whom ever we can fracking get!!!
The people I have left off here should all either be traded or DFA.
The 3rd thing is the Sonics moving. I care about the Sonics leaving Seattle but it is gonna happen no sense in crying about it. My solution is tell the NBA Sonics bye bye and say Hello to the NHL Sonics and to a new stadium on the Eastside. This would create more buzz than a fracking MLS team and it might generate the next Seattle championship.
The 4th thing is a bit more National in scope. That is the presidential election. I am a McCain supporter, a McCainiac if you will. My support is not whole hardy. Mac needs to do three things tomorow in order to secure the Presidency.
1. Talk about taxes like you've got a pair. Low Taxes = stronger economy
2. start saying "drill here, drill now!" we can live off our own oil, it's time we do it!
3. pick a young VP with a better resume than most presidents! Booby Jindal is the man who should and will be the next VP!
I love politics and the GOP but we have lost our way! the GOP needs to return to the Libertarian ideals it was founded on. I am not a Ron Paul guy by any means but i believe in limited government and a strong defense (without legalizing pot Dr. Paul). The big government trend needs to be reversed.
The Fifth and final thing is the begining of my campaign to get Ichiro Suzuki traded. so anyone who agrees with me should send an email to the Mariners organization simply saying this:
To Whom it May Concern,
I as a long time fan of the Seattle Mariners respectfully demand the you trade Ichiro Suzuki. He is worth more traded than he is as a member of this team.
sincerly,
(Insert Name)
If you are a true fan you have no choice to be a part of this campaign. The Emails are phase 1 of 5 to get 51 traded. Phase 2 is boycott all Ichiro merchandise. Phase 3 is show up to Safeco on 7/19 with a bag on your head and signs that say "Trade Ichiro Now!!!" Phase 4 is boycott all home games post-deadline. Phase 5 is email the newspapers and lobby them to write about Ichiro's attitude and trade value. If every hardcore M's fan does this we might see some action.
More to come today!
